Golden Globes 2024: The Best (And Worst) Celebrity Hair and Makeup Looks on the Red Carpet

Whether or not you’re a “Swiftie,” I think we can all agree that Taylor’s latest look is a personal best. Obviously, the lime green gown brings the wow factor, but I’m just as enthusiastic about the hair and makeup that she wore with it. Bangs have always been my favourite on her, and these are no exception—especially with the long, glossy waves. I also appreciate that she ditched her signature red lipstick and black liner, going for nude lips and shimmery shadow in a subtly graphic shape. Love!

How can you not have hair envy after seeing Jennifer’s nearly waist-length mane?! I’m not sure if she had a little help from extensions, but either way, it looks incredibly thick, healthy and silky. Tossed over one shoulder, it gives “relaxed glamour” vibes with the navy velvet gown and low-key makeup. I love the natural skin finish and the full, straight brows. Looks like she’s rocking a few faux freckles, too!

America debuted this cute bob, and I absolutely love it. After having long hair forever, she started going shorter in the fall, and it’s amazing how the new length instantly updates her style and makes her look younger (she’s 39). Makeup-wise, like so many others on this red carpet, it doesn’t even look like she’s wearing foundation. The sheer pink on her lips is lovely.

Emma always looks pretty, even if I think this dress washes her out a bit (it’s so similar to what she wore to the 2017 Globes!). At least her red hair adds a bit of colour, because she, too, got the memo about au naturel makeup. It’s all about the brows, which are bolder than ever, and the long lashes. The way her hair flips up at the ends is kind of cute and 1960s-inspired.
